Brand Names

Brand names sometimes vary from country to country.
For example:

  • Organon uses the brand name Puregon® in Europe and Follistim® in the United States.

  • Ferring uses the brand name Menopur® in Europe and Repronex® in the United States.

EMA | FDA

All these products have the same active ingredients and have the same quality standards.

The European Medicines Agency (like for example the FDA in the United States) has extremely strict licensing requirements for the manufacturing of medicines. Much of the time, pharmaceutical companies produce medicines in the same facility for the worldwide market but use different brand names for different geographical markets.

All the medicines that you will receive will have the expiration dates batch and lot numbers printed on both the outer and inner packaging.

These are directives demanded by all International Medicines Agencies including the European Medicines Agency and the FDA in the United States.

2-4 years

The expiry dates on the medicines range from 2-4 years from the time of dispensing, depending on the product.
