Cetrotide® 0.25 mg
What is:
Branded as Cetrotide® by Serono.
Cetrorelix is used in women undergoing fertility treatments (controlled ovarian
stimulation). It helps control the hormone levels that cause an egg to release
from the ovaries (prevents premature ovulation).
Cetrorelix is administered by SubQ injection (just below the skin).
Side effect:
Nausea; headache; or pain, redness, irritation, and itching at the injection site may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: swelling/pain/cramping of the stomach (abdomen). If you notice any other effects not listed above, contact your doctor.
Storage:
- Storage for brief periods between 59-86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) is permitted.
- Protect from light and moisture.
- Store the 0.25 mg strength in the refrigerator at 36-46 degrees F (2-8 degrees C).
