What is:

For Sub-Q branded as Repronex® in the United States and as Menopur® throughout the rest of the world by Ferring.
Also for Sub-Q branded as Merional® by IBSA. There is also a generic HMG.
HMG in conjunction with hCG, is indicated for multiple follicular development (controlled ovarian stimulation) and ovulation induction in patients who have previously received pituitary suppression.

Contents:

  • 1 vial with dry powder containing 75 IU of FSH and 75 IU of LH.
  • 1 ampoule containing clear solvent. 


Side effect:

Headache, stomach pain, irritability, restlessness, mood changes, fatigue, Dizziness. You may also experience pain or irritation at the injection site. If these symptoms continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you experience: swelling of the ankles or feet, leg pain, chest pain, breathing difficulty, flu-like symptoms including fever, chills, musculoskeletal aches, joint pains, nausea, headaches,. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor.


Storage:

Before mixing, the powder may be stored at

  • Room temperature or refrigerated (36°F-77°F / 2°C-25°C)
  • Away from light and moisture until expiration date.
  • Use immediately after mixing.
  • Discard any unused portion of the vial.
